Citizen Impact Statement (C.I.S.) for N.J. Electoral College Members Page for Facebook & Twitter Accounts are Created; Invites Volunteers from Other States to Follow Suit
“Viable Solution so that the Electoral College Members are no longer Inundated with Emails & Phone Calls”
November 23, 2016 – (Trenton, N.J.) America is in a national crisis. Race tensions, riots, protests, and hate crimes have drastically increased since November 9 when Donald Trump was declared as President-elect, which left media and Hillary supporters shocked and bewildered. There has been more shocking news about the election and now top computer scientists are requesting the Clinton Campaign to challenge the election results in 3 states: Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, & Michigan. The Clinton camp is running out of time to challenge the election. According to one of the activists, the deadline in Wisconsin to file for a recount is Friday; in Pennsylvania, it’s Monday; and Michigan is next Wednesday.
Letitia Peters, a resident of New Jersey has been concerned about the election results because of her inability to do her part to support Hillary Clinton. Peters states, “My right to Freedom of Speech continues to be violated on Facebook. Some of the features were not working and then mysteriously started working on November 9th. I am appalled by the way that people are treating the Electoral College Members. We do not need to piss them off. No one should be threatening them, calling or emailing them now. Since many of the Electoral College members may have Facebook and Twitter accounts, I thought that if they could read our impact statements at a centralized location, then our Citizen Impact Statements could have a profound impact on them and even sway their votes for Hillary Clinton. It has never been done for Democrats and I am praying that it will be done for a Democrat for a first time because she is highly qualified to be President of the United States. For those who are praying, please pray for them and that God will send His angels to protect them & keep them safe by praying the Aaronic Blessing/The Priestly Blessing (Numbers 6:24-26).”
ALL NEGATIVE ACTIONS MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY & TURN ALL EFFORTS TO THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE, PRESIDENT OBAMA, & HILLARY CLINTON
We are all connected spiritually. Even though we are not doing the rioting or violent protests it affects all of us and it must stop immediately. We need to shift the atmosphere in America. I realize that some of the instigators are being compensated to cause the disturbances. Yes, there are people “pretending” to be Democrats. It is not like people are asking them, are you a Democrat or Republican?
Instead of marching, rioting, or protesting now, they should focus their time and energy on constructed activities that will get permanent, positive, & tangible results like participating in the 2 Chronicles 7:14 event, volunteer as the monitor for their states Electoral College Facebook and Twitter Accounts, letter writing and/or phone calling campaign.
NEED VOLUNTEERS TO DEVELOP ELECTORAL COLLEGE GROUPS FOR THEIR STATES, EMAIL, FACEBOOK, & TWITTER ACCOUNTS
Can anyone or 2 people commit to 21 days to set-up & monitor in their respective state a Facebook account, Twitter account, as well as, an email account? It does not take long to set-up these accounts. People can essential copy and paste the information that is on her pages. Letitia Peters is the monitor of the CIS for NJ Electoral College Members on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/cisfornjelectoralmembers/) and on Twitter (https://twitter.com/cis4njec).
Volunteers can develop a page and post it to www.Facebook.com/TheHealOurNationsMovement or send an email to cis4usec@gmail.com. She wants to do a press release for each state as well. She wants every state to be completed one by Monday, November 28, 2016.
Letitia Peters has proclaimed a nationwide 2 Chronicles 7:14 Event from November 29 to December 19, which consists of prayer, fasting, and blowing the shofar. The International community is welcome to join us as well. She is doing her part so that God will heal America.
PREPARATION OF A CITIZEN IMPACT STATEMENT FOR THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE
Every Democrat and Republican who do not want to the Electoral College to select President-elect Donald Trump should write a “Citizen Impact Statement” to their Electoral College representatives that is like a “Victim Impact Statement”, which is a written or oral statement presented to the court at the sentencing of the defendant. You can search “Victim Impact Statements Example” to read examples of how one is written. You should think about what to write. It should be short; no more than 3 pages. While nobody can truly understand what, you are feeling, you can help others identify with your trauma by using descriptive words can help people form an image of what you are saying as you envision you and your family’s life with President-elect Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as President of the United States of America, the highest office in the country.
Imagine that you are in the room and you want to convince the members of the Electoral College to feel your trauma so that she/he can rule in your favor. Here are some questions for guidelines:
• How has President-elect Donald Trump being elected changed you and your family life since Nov. 8th?
• How would the Electoral College decision to select Hillary Clinton affect you and your family life over Donald Trump for the next 4 years?
• Why do you think that Hillary Clinton would be a much better candidate for you, your family, community, nation & for foreign affairs?
• What emotional, financial, psychological, physical, and social impacts would the decision for the Electoral College to select Hillary Clinton vs. President-elect Donald Trump have on you and your family?
• Is there anything else you would like to tell the Electoral College?
You should explain how you and/or family will be affected in 4 ways:
• Emotionally – you should describe any emotional impacts including:
o your general feelings of well-being or enjoyment of life
o how has it affected or will affect any relationships (with your partner, family, friends, or co-workers)
o any emotions or feelings related (such as hurt, anger, fear, sad, or frustration)
o effects on your lifestyle and activities (such as trouble sleeping, eating, or working)
• Psychologically - psychological effects including any treatment you and/or family need (such as depression or anxiety)
o how these impacts might change your life into the future.
o You should address any ‘significant adverse effects’. These include grief, distress, trauma or injury experienced or suffered by you and/or family.
• Physically – physical injuries (such as broken bones, nerve damage)
o how injuries have affected your life (such as work, sport or leisure activities)
o any long-term impacts of injuries on your life
o any ongoing medical treatment you need.
• Financially – financial loss of future earnings (if a physical or psychological injury has affected your ability to work)
o general expenses caused.
o cost of medical treatment needed.
• Socially - socially how have you and/or family been affected or will be affected?
o work or study commitments
o family or social life (friendships, social events, sporting commitments)
o how safe or unsafe you and/or your family feel.
Don’t use inappropriate or offensive language.
You can also add other materials such as letters, poems, photographs, or drawings.
Here are several articles that support the only scenario of Hillary Clinton getting into the White House due to the Electoral College:
In the Nov. 9th article, “The One Scenario that could still get Hillary into the White House”, Laura Italiano actually shows the 29 states that are not bound by law to vote for the winning candidate at http://nypost.com/2016/11/09/the-one-scenario-that-could-still-get-hillary-into-the-white-house/. Furthermore, it states, “According to the Constitution, chosen electors of the Electoral College are the real people who will vote for president, when they meet on Dec. 19 in their respective state capitals.
However, there is technically nothing stopping any of the electors from voting their conscience and refusing to support the candidate to whom they were bound, or from abstaining from voting altogether.
There’s even a name for it: becoming a “faithless elector.”
The idea of electors reversing their vote is rarely discussed — and was most recently bandied about after the incredibly close 2000 election in which George Bush narrowly beat Al Gore. And electors going “faithless” is exceedingly rare.
It does happen, though.
The last faithless elector reared his roguish head back in 2004, when a lone anonymous voter in Minnesota declined to vote for Democrat John Kerry and instead voted for Kerry’s running mate, John Edwards.
Clinton would need more than 20 GOP electors to go rogue and vote instead for her — a mighty tall order.
Even then, the new, Republican-controlled Congress meets Jan. 6 to approve the electoral college vote, and would certainly vote to void any roguery, handing the victory firmly back to Trump.
The Founding Fathers created the electoral college because they were “afraid of direct Democracy,” according to FactCheck.org.
In fact, Alexander Hamilton thought the electors would make sure “the office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.”
It remains to be seen, given Tuesday’s surprise election result, whether Democrats — and even some Republicans — who question the “requisite qualifications” of president-elect Donald Trump will push to revisit the Electoral College system.”
In the article, “Trump’s victory another example of how Electoral College wins are bigger than popular vote ones”, Drew Desliver states, “The last time a popular-vote loser won the presidency in the Electoral College was, of course, in 2000, when George W. Bush edged out Al Gore 271-266 despite Gore winning some 537,000 more popular votes nationwide. The other electoral-popular vote mismatches came in 1876 and 1888; in all four instances the Democratic nominee ended up the loser. (In the 1824 election, which was contested between rival factions of the same party, Andrew Jackson won a plurality of the popular and electoral vote, but because he was short of an Electoral College majority the election was thrown to the House of Representatives, which chose runner-up John Quincy Adams.” (Source: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/11/09/why-electoral-college-landslides-are-easier-to-win-than-popular-vote-ones/)
In the November 15th article, “President Electors are Dumping Trump, Trump Administration in Crisis Mode”, http://liberalsociety.com/breaking-presidential-electors-are-dumping-trump-trump-administration-in-crisis-mode/ Jacob Richardson states, “Two Democratic Electors have decided to make an unprecedented attempt at something they know is far fetched, but are working to make it succeed anyway. They are opting to essentially “dump Trump” before he can take the office of president in January.
Washington state elector Bret Chiafalo and Colorado elector Michael Baca have launched what they call “Moral Electors” in an attempt to persuade their colleagues to dump Trump along with them before he can officially take office. The lucky number of fellow elector’s support needed to block Trump from gaining the presidency is 37. They already have the support of one other elector, Washington State’s Robert Satiacum.
Although they know the idea is far fetched, they are still going forward with it. Chiafalo stated in a phone interview with POLITICO: ‘This is a long shot. It’s a Hail Mary. However, I do see situations where- when we’ve already had two or three Republican electors state publicly they didn’t want to vote for Trump. How many of them have real issues with Trump in private?”
“President Trump Isn’t a Done Deal. Electors Should Vote for Clinton On Dec. 19
We must empower the Electoral College to do the right thing.”, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/president-trump-isnt-a-done-deal-electors-should-vote-for-clinton-on-dec-19_us_582e2972e4b099512f81e79a?section=us_queer-voices, Ani DiFranco states, “The Founding Fathers cautioned against endowing absolute power of election to a population which can be swayed by a charismatic figure with “talents for low intrigue and the little arts of popularity” and maintained that a buffering body is necessary to safeguard against the hazard of any elected leader who may threaten the very state and principles of America. If ever there was a moment in American history where it is imperative that the Electoral College fulfill its duty of oversight, this is it.
Donald Trump is a criminal and a sociopath who fans the flames of racism and xenophobia with hateful rhetoric and divisive speech. He attacks his critics, admits no fault, and is willing to forgo any process or protocol in the pursuit of unlimited power. He has a vision of women as sexual objects and reproductive slaves and he plans to literally and figuratively build a wall around us to shut out the interaction and influence of a discerning world community.
Like all sociopaths, he is charming and charismatic and has lulled a certain percentage of our population (not the majority by any stretch) into a comforting and inspiring vision of their own superiority. There is no telling how far away from democracy his ethos of might-makes-right may take us but it is undeniably a rejection of the very principles upon which America was founded and has evolved.
It is not a matter of the majority of Americans who voted for Clinton (and who now support the Electoral College following suit) being sore “losers.” Lack of sportsmanship is not what the thousands and thousands of American citizens who have taken to the streets every single day since this election are expressing. They are rejecting the normalization of racism, xenophobia, and misogyny. They are rejecting fascism in America. They are rising up not to reject the democratic process and the outcome of fair elections but indeed to defend it!
If we do not recognize fascism when it appears on the horizon, all of our democratic systems and institutions are rendered meaningless. None of it amounts to anything if we cannot shake each other awake. We must be willing to fight for our democracy and its underlying meaning. We must be willing to fight for each other. We must reach out to our Republican electors and impress upon them: December 19 is the time to defend our freedom, to defend our great country. It is all on you.
In the Nov. 22nd article, Experts Urge Clinton Campaign to Challenge Election Results in 3 Swing States http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/11/activists-urge-hillary-clinton-to-challenge-election-results.html, Gabriel Sherman states, “According to current tallies, Trump has won 290 Electoral College votes to Clinton’s 232, with Michigan’s 16 votes not apportioned because the race there is still too close to call. It would take overturning the results in both Wisconsin (10 Electoral College votes) and Pennsylvania (20 votes), in addition to winning Michigan’s 16, for Clinton to win the Electoral College. There is also the complicating factor of “faithless electors,” or members of the Electoral College who do not vote according to the popular vote in their states. At least six electoral voters have said they would not vote for Trump, despite the fact that he won their states.
The Clinton camp is running out of time to challenge the election. According to one of the activists, the deadline in Wisconsin to file for a recount is Friday; in Pennsylvania, it’s Monday; and Michigan is next Wednesday. Whether Clinton will call for a recount remains unclear. The academics so far have only a circumstantial case that would require not just a recount but a forensic audit of voting machines. Also complicating matters, a senior Clinton adviser said, is that the White House, focused on a smooth transfer of power, does not want Clinton to challenge the election result. Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri did not respond to a request for comment. But some Clinton allies are intent on pushing the issue. This afternoon, Huma Abedin’s sister Heba encouraged her Facebook followers to lobby the Justice Department to audit the 2016 vote. “Call the DOJ…and tell them you want the votes audited,” she wrote. “Even if it’s busy, keep calling.”
In the November 22nd article, Top Computer Scientists Urge Hillary Campaign to Challenge Election Results, http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/22/politics/hillary-clinton-challenge-results/, The scientists, among them J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society, told the Clinton campaign they believe there is a questionable trend of Clinton performing worse in counties that relied on electronic voting machines compared to paper ballots and optical scanners, according to the source. Additionally, at least three electors have pledged to not vote for Trump and to seek a "reasonable Republican alternative for president through Electoral College," according to a statement Wednesday from a group called the Hamilton Electors, which represents them.
"The Founding Fathers created the Electoral College as the last line of defense," one elector, Michael Baca, said in a statement, "and I think we must do all that we can to ensure that we have a reasonable Republican candidate who shares our American values."
We need to make EACH DAY COUNT! All the pieces fell in place like they were pieces to the puzzle.
